air cooler mould

Have you heard of an air cooler? An air cooler helps make the hot and muggy day a little bit more bearable. It operates much like an air conditioner for the fact that it uses water to cool the air instead of chemicals. This is what makes air coolers a perfect option for hot and dry places as it can avail us some impulsive respite from the scorching heat.

However, one important thing to remember is that air coolers tend to get you sick! Another consequence of poor storage practices is mould. Mold is a type of fungus that can be dangerous to your health. Therefore, it becomes crucial that you know how to maintain your air cooler clean and safe for fresh air.IS ITS TRUE.

Tips to Keep Your Cooler Clean and Safe

Clean the water tank often. It is where water gets stored until it has cooled the air. Dirty water in the tank can lead to mould growth, and that is not good for your health at all. First of all, evacuate the tank totally to clean it. Next, wash the inside of a tank with water along some vinegar. It also helps in taking out the dirt and mold. After scrubbing, clean the tank thoroughly with drinking water and allow it to dry out completely before you refill it again.

Change the water a lot. Even if the water appears clear, it can create a medium for mould even when not regularly changed. It is better to do it so every day if you are very prepared. Some people may find changing it every day too much or not beneficial, but at least you can change it around 2 days. Otherwise, you will spoil the water and moldy pieces of food tissue can form.
